With extensive research supporting arts education as an imperative mental development step for youth, SAACA has strived to create free to engage. Each month, children can enjoy interactive performances through the two-part series Just for Kids and Musical Magic for Kids. The program exists through partnerships with the area’s most acclaimed arts organizations – Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Tucson Pops Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Tucson, Music and Dance Academy and many others.

Peter and the...FOX?!?

The Wolf is on a mission to restore his good (bad) name.  Maligned for years as the villain of most children's stories, the Wolf is now in danger of losing his identity altogether!  Children no longer recognize the Wolf as the bad boy of the beloved children's story by Sergey Prokofieff, Peter and the Wolf.  The fox has crept into children's minds, and threatens to leave the Wolf out in the cold!  Come join Music and Dance Academy faculty for a new rendition of a favorite tale, which will restore the Wolf to his rightful place of villainy.

Join Music and Dance Academy faculty members as they dance and drum their way into a rollicking good time! Tap, jazz and modern musical styles will be featured in an interactive and fun program.  Audience members will enjoy moving with the beat as well as experiencing playing along with body percussion & instruments.  Don't miss this opportunity to play, learn and move!

Princesses, Superheroes and Cowboys...Oh My!
Tucson Symphony Orchestra String Quartet

Is there a treasure to be found? Does the world need to be saved… again? YES!!!  This story begins with YOU, the beautiful princesses, daring superheroes and brave cowboys travelling on a musical journey to find the magical song that will save precious Little Star. Be prepared to search the world and seek help from the most famous composer ever, Mozart!!! Be sure to wear your favorite costume; tiaras, capes and western wear are all suggested! The story is by David Gay with music composed by Ilona Vukovic-Gay.

I wants a big squawker, not a pip squeaker." "Nay! That be the last one we got. Take 'er or leave 'er." "Please take me," said the tiny bird. I'll make you proud of me."
