With extensive research supporting arts education as an imperative mental development step for youth, SAACA has strived to create free to engage. Each month, children can enjoy interactive performances through the two-part series Just for Kids and Musical Magic for Kids. The program exists through partnerships with the area’s most acclaimed arts organizations – Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Tucson Pops Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Tucson, Music and Dance Academy and many others.

Maybe some of you know about Morris the Mouse. He's the mouse who lives backstage at the Tucson Music Hall and loves to listen to the TSO rehearse and perform. You probably didn't know that Morris' Great-Great-Great-Grandfather, Moritz, was just as crazy about music as Morris. Beethoven's mouse tells the touching tale of how Moritz befriended the great composer. The story is by TSO violinist, Michael Fan; the music is by Beethoven, of course!
